about my technique:

There really isn't much to say about the technique here. Just that I generally start out with an idea that I want to see how it would look on paper, and from there I doodle, sketch, or paint my way to a solution.

There isn't any set way to do concept art, so long as the result conveys the idea. You also only need to develop the piece to the point of conveying that idea, any detailing or finishing beyond that is up to you.

I think the main thing with concept art is just to have fun and enjoy the freedom of creation.
